And his name? We were thinking of all sorts of British-sounding names for a new puppy. We had intended to get a female dog, so had almost settled on the name Poppy. Then this little guy stole our heart so we had to think of boy names. I was thinking Archie or Alfie.
But as soon as Grace saw him, she said we should name him Albus. If you're not a Harry Potter fan, this is the name of the Hogwarts headmaster - Albus Dumbledore. Albus certainly sounds distinguished, so we have been calling him Albie. It suits him.
Of course, I forgot how much work a puppy is. Kind of like babies, I guess! He is definitely keeping me on my toes! On the other hand, he seems to be catching on quickly to commands and housetraining.
Albie is a real pest to Rosie. She plays and tolerates him, but then has enough. He likes to nip at her heels, and this really bugs her. I think she is happy when he goes in his crate! But today when Albie and I returned from the vet, she seemed very glad to see him.
The kids love him, although we're working on him playing without using his mouth and little teeth. It's fun to have a new addition to the family.

He's adorable! He reminds me of Dutch a little with his coloring...but Dutch is full grown at that size!! Congrats on the new addition!
ReplyDeleteI just got off the phone with Wayne who called the Vet's office to make an appointment to have Jack boarded during our trip to Hawaii. $150!! A whopping vet bill when we return!
