Ireland 2026: Kilkenny

Let's kick things off with our arrival in Ireland.  As I mentioned before, there were a lot of moving parts in our trip.  I had coordinated our flight on United that connected through Newark with Grace's flight on Aer Lingus that flew directly from Nashville to Dublin.  To be honest, I was a little stressed out about this and hoped that Irish luck would be on our side with no flight delays or issues.

Ireland Trip Planning

Our trip to Ireland has been years in the making.  I have always thought it would be special to go back to Ireland for our 25th anniversary.  Finding a time when we could all go together was challenging, but well worth the trouble.  The vacation will also be a way to celebrate other milestones in our family: Jack's college graduation, Grace's qualifying PhD exam, and Michael's retirement.  So 2026 will be a good year for us to return to the Emerald Isle!

Many of you have been interested in the details of our itinerary, and I will definitely do an in-depth series of posts when we return.  But for now, I thought I'd fill you in on the general schedule of our trip.

Prime Purchases

Hey y'all!  It's really hard for me to believe September is already here. 2026 is flying by!  Although we have months of hot weather remaining here in Houston, I will be pulling out the fall decor and burning the vanilla, apple and pumpkin scented candles promptly during the first week of September!

This month I have a little bit of everything in my Prime Purchases shopping cart.  Let's get started.

Be sure to let me know what you've been "adding to cart."  Also, I've been playing around with the idea of re-starting my Prime Purchases link party in the new year.  Would you be interested?

Currently Hodgepodging

Here we are at the beginning of September.  September has always been one of my favorite months: my birthday, the start of school, (slightly) cooler temperatures, fall decor, and autumnal flavors. Yes please!  Today I'm joining Amy for the monthly Currently questions and Joyce for the weekly Hodgepodge questions.  I've linked to them at the end of the post - be sure to go check out all the other blog posts!

Monthly Digest

This August was a little light on the blog content.  Between losing our sweet dog Albie and lots of graduation/moving busy-ness, I just didn't sit down to blog very much.  Hopefully, September will bring renewed motivation for my online journal!  Let's take a look at August 2026.
