This week was Senior Sunday at church. In this special service, the youth band leads worship and seniors come to the front to be prayed over by pastors and parents. It was a really special time, and we are so proud of the years Jack has spent involved with the youth ministry at church. It is still hard to believe that this era is coming to an end.
The band did a great job leading worship at both services. Members of the younger youth bands served as a choir. They had a lot of energy!
After the service, there was a reception outside. Jack with his grandmother.
Lots of photo ops!
They had custom cookies - such a nice treat/party favor.
They also framed a photo of each senior that decorated the space.
We could then take home the framed picture.
Jack and Seth played together in the band starting in 8th grade.
Chris in the center is the high school pastor. Here he is with some senior guys.
Jerry, on the right, is the youth worship pastor. He does an incredible job shaping the teens as musicians and Christians.
Jose (Seth's dad) served as the band "coach/mentor" for the last five years. We are so grateful for he and his wife for being such wonderful role models.
What a special morning to celebrate our senior!

It must be so bittersweet. Looks like a nice celebration.
